I’ve always known that I wanted an artistic career. Since I can’t draw or paint very well and I can’t seem to shake off my stage freight, photography became the perfect creative outlet for me. I’m a little nervous when I first meet people, but once I get behind the camera I’m in complete control.

Other photographers think I’m crazy because I love to shoot weddings, matter of fact that’s almost all I shoot, on purpose. I get to spend time with people on the happiest day of their lives, what is not to love about that? I honestly can't imagine doing anything else.

I didn’t have a wedding myself, my husband and I eloped, which is why I think I enjoy helping brides plan their weddings and taking beautiful images for them. I get to live my wedding dreams through them. It’s a great feeling when a couple uses one of my suggestions or loves an image I’ve created for them. I feel like a little piece of their wedding has become a part of me as well.

The most important thing about wedding photography to me is that you have fun. I don’t want you to feel stressed, or uncomfortable, so just be yourself. The more you let your personality shine through the better your wedding images will be.
